On behalf of the Board of Directors, staff, members, participants and volunteers at Houselink, we wish to extend our heart-felt thanks to the many friends, patrons and advocates who make our work possible.

Your donations at work

Each year Houselink is privileged to provide financial assistance that makes the difference between ‘getting by’ and thriving. Thanks to everyone for your generous contributions!

Peggy Birnberg Fund
In 2019 the Peggy Birnberg Fund distributed $8,600 to 29 individuals and their families for emergency pet care, dental assistance, medical and mobility equipment, emergency travel and relocation, eye care, legal fees, and personal recovery and wellness activities.

As a child, R.P. dreamed of playing professional basketball, but illness and a lifetime of medication robbed him of those dreams. But when the Toronto Raptors’ became NBA Champions he was inspired to worked hard to get his body and his skills back in shape. The Peggy Birnberg Fund paid for tryouts to the Raptors905 development squad. He wasn’t chosen, but he’s determined to keep trying.

Families Moving Forward and Participant Education Fund
The Families Moving Forward Fund enables children to enjoy summer camps and sports camps, take music and dance lessons, and pay for college fees and books. The Education Fund enables participants to improve education or build new skills through courses and workshops.
This year, $14,841 was distributed to 35 successful applicants.
