Houselink Community Homes thanks the Centre for providing $50,000 in funding to support tenant engagement as they consider amalgamation with Mainstay. Plans are underway to ensure our voting membership is well informed and will play an active role in decision making for the future of the organization.
We are also grateful for $65,000 which will assist us in purchasing and implementing Yardi Property Management System. This opportunity would not have been made available to us if it were not for our integration work together with Mainstay. A key benefit of the system is being able to access information right away about work orders or other information such as rental payment status.
The Community Housing Transformation Centre is a pan-Canadian non-profit organization working to support a resilient, growing, sustainable and inclusive Community Housing sector. The Community-Based Tenant Initiative Fund aims to support vulnerable tenants by providing opportunities for them to become involved in housing decisions that impact them. It will help Houselink increase and promote access to information as well as increase participation in housing-related decisions and projects.
