As of today (April 1), Houselink Community Homes and Mainstay Housing have officially become Houselink & Mainstay Inc. This integration makes the new organization the largest supportive housing and private non-profit housing provider in Canada. As one, we now own nearly 60 buildings across Toronto, and manage another 300 units through private landlord partnerships. We also provide support services to 900 individuals beyond their core supportive housing offerings.

Integration ensures we protect our properties as operating agreements come to an end. It also positions us to better serve our tenants and others who use our services, while we look to build more high-quality housing and lift more people off the streets of Toronto.

We are pleased that the City of Torontothe Province of Ontario and the Federal government all support our integration. We also want to thank the Community Housing Transformation Centre and the Toronto Central Local Health Integration Network for financially supporting our integration efforts. This support is invaluable and will help us engage and give voice to those we serve.

As a larger organization, we look forward to strengthening our partnership with the City and helping them achieve the goal set in the HousingTO 2020-2030 Action Plan of creating 18,000 new supportive housing units over the next 10 years.
