The need is overwhelming. Houselink participants face mental health challenges, addictions and deep poverty. They are struggling with life under lockdown. Some are unable to leave their homes.
We are extending help to our most isolated and vulnerable residents through two programs:
You may be familiar with this campaign. Houselink normally offers participants a weekly healthy meal in an inclusive setting. We have realigned this program to provide weekly meals delivered to our most vulnerable members.
Many of Houselink participants do not have phones and the vast majority do not have Wifi. They can’t FaceTime, attend appointments, call family or friends. They can’t even call for help. Connect-to-Wellness is a campaign to cover the costs of very basic phones and calling/data plans for members who are completely isolated. We are trying to connect members with services, family, friends and treatment.
